Singer Confirmed For X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

‘First Class’ mutants will be joined by young Jean, Storm, and Cyclops…

After months of speculation, Deadline has confirmed that Bryan Singer is set to return to the director’s chair for the ‘ X-Men: Days of Future Past’ sequel, ‘X-Men: Apocalypse.’

The events of the highly anticipated sequel will take place a decade after ‘Days of Future Past,’ with Charles (James McAvoy), Erik/Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Raven/Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and Hank/Beast (Nicholas Hoult) joined by young Cyclops, Storm, and Jean as they fight their most formidable foe yet – En Sabah Nur aka Apocalypse. It is rumoured that the film will also mark Channing Tatum’s debut as Gambit.

Simon Kinberg is providing the script, based on a story by Singer, Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris. Singer and Lauren Shuler Donner are producing with Kinberg and Hutch Parker.

Principal photography is scheduled to get underway early next year, with release pencilled in for Summer 2016.
