Horror franchise getting second reboot…
Writer/director David Bruckner has reportedly entered into talks with Paramount Pictures to take the helm of the studio’s ‘Friday the 13th’ reboot.
First announced last year, the project was originally being developed a found-footage style horror, but that idea has apparently been ditched. It is not yet known what approach the studio will be taking with the franchise, but you can expect hockey-mask wearing, machete-wielding psycho Jason Voorhees to deliver some grisly deaths.
Michael Bay and Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are on board to produce.
Bruckner’s previous credits include the ‘Amateur Night’ segment in the 2012 anthology horror ‘V/H/S,’ and 2007’s ‘The Signal.’
