Vin Diesel and David Twohy committed to making an R-rated movie and compare the new movie to ‘Pitch Black.’
Vin Diesel posted a video on his Facebook page to provide his fans and followers with the latest goings on with ‘Riddick.’ In the video, both he and writer-director David Twohy answered fan’s questions on the next chapter of ‘The Chronicles of Riddick.’
When asked if the movie would differ from the previous two movies, Twohy responded:
“The movie itself is gonna be a lot like Pitch Black because of the money involved. We’re gonna be lean and we’re going to go quick and it’s going to be a cool movie, I can tell you that. We want to maintain our R-rating, at any cost.”
To which Vin added, “We’re committed to going R.”
Here is the synopsis for the next Riddick movie that was doing the rounds a while back: Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.
