Former California Governor may have found his first movie to mark his return to acting.
Arnold Schwarzenegger has been busy this week, with the announcement of his Governator animated TV series, comic and feature film, now Movieweb reports that the actor is set to star in ‘The Good, the Bad, the Weird’ director Kim Ji-Woon’s first English-language film ‘The Last Stand.’
Schwarzenegger will play a sheriff on the U.S./Mexican border who becomes involved with trying to stop a drug cartel leader from crossing into Mexico. The South Korean director, who recently directed the thriller ‘I Saw the Devil,’ has described the movie as a mix between “Die Hard and High Noon.” Liam Neeson was previously attached to the project but subsequently dropped out.
/Film has confirmed the news, saying that while a deal has yet to been signed, it could become officially set in the near future. The movie is set to start filming late August.
