John Green’s debut novel headed to the big screen…
Actress-turned-filmmaker Sarah Polley (‘Take This Waltz,’ ‘Stories We Tell,’ ‘Away From Her’) is hoping to adapt ‘Looking For Alaska,’ the debut novel by ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ author John Green.
The coming-of-age story centres on Miles “Pudge” Halter, a young boy who heads off to the sometimes crazy and anything-but-boring world of Culver Creek Boarding School, where he meets Alaska Young, a beautiful and troubled girl who is the object of affection for most males at the school.
Mark Waters and Jessica Tuchinsky of Watermark Pictures are on board to produce. Polley, who was Oscar-nominated for her ‘Away From Her’ script, will pen the script.
