Paul Bettany in talks for vampire flick “Priest”
Paul Bettany is in talks to join the horror western Priest, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Based on the TokyoPop comic book, Priest is setin a world that has been “ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampire”. Bettany wil play the title character, who is on a mission to track down murderous vampires who have kidnapped his niece.
Scott Stewart, who just finished working with Bettany on Legion, is directing the picture for Screen Gems.
Screen Gems president Clint Culpepper said that it was Bettany’s performance in Legion which persuaded them to sign the actor.
