Trio board indie drama.
THR reports that Mary-Louise Parker (‘Weeds,’ ‘Red’), Ving Rhames (‘Piranha 3D’) and James Woods (‘Straw Dogs’) have joined newcomer Spencer Lofranco on the cast of Trevor White’s directorial debut ‘Jamesy Boy.’
The indie drama tells story of a young man (Lofranco) who goes from suburban street gangs to a maximum-security prison surrounded by hardened criminals. In prison, James fosters an unlikely friendship with a convicted murderer (Rhames) who ends up becoming his mentor and ultimately defines and changes the course of his life.
‘Jamesy Boy’ is scheduled to begin filming March 4th with a screenplay penned by White and Lane Shadgett.
