Olivier Assayas lines up cast for his next.
According to a report over at Ion Cinema, ‘Stoker’ star Mia Wasikowska is set to join French actress Juliette Binoche (‘Godzilla,’ ‘Word and Pictures’) for the drama ‘Sils Maria.’
Set to begin shooting this summer, the English-language film is set in the eponymous Swiss town and follows Maria Enders (Binoche), a famed middle-aged actress who reflects back on her life and career. Wasikowska will play the part of Binoche’s assistant.
Olivier Assayas (‘Something in the Air,’ ‘Carlos’) is attached to direct.
The film marks the director’s third collaboration with Binoche, having directed the actress in 2008s ‘Summer Hours’ and provided the screenplay for André Téchiné’s 1985 feature ‘Rendez-vous.’
