Bateman to star in, and direct untitled comedy…
It looks like Jason Bateman has found his next directorial effort, as THR is reporting that the ‘Horrible Bosses’ actor has signed on to direct and star in an untitled comedy for Universal Pictures.
With David Bar Katz (‘Freak,’ ‘The Pest’) providing the script, the comedy tells of two undercover FBI agents who pretend to fall in love and use their wedding as a law enforcement trap against the mob.
In addition to directing and starring, Bateman will serve as producer on the film with his Aggregate Films partner James Garavente. Bob Cooper of Landscape Entertainment will co-produce.
Bateman, who made his directorial debut with the r-rated comedy ‘Bad Words,’ is currently in pre-production on his follow-up ‘The Family Fang,’ in which he will co-star with Nicole Kidman and Christopher Walken. Filming on that feature kicks off next month in New York.
