Will Butler end the search for a lead?
The revolving door of casting for the long-gestating revenge thriller ‘Motor City’ continues.
First announced back in August, the project has been linked to the likes of Chris Evans, Dominic Cooper, Jake Gyllenhaal and Jeremy Renner, but none of them stuck due to scheduling conflicts.
Now Variety has word that Gerard Butler (‘Machine Gun Preacher,’ ‘300’) has entered negotiations for the Chad St John scripted revenge thriller. As previously reported the film follows “a felon who, after being released from prison, begins tracking down the men who framed him.”
Amber Heard and Gary Oldman remain attached to co-star under the direction of Albert Hughes (‘From Hell,’ ‘Menace II Society’).
