DC’s chief creative officer Geoff Johns gives a Green Lanthern update!
Geoff Johns -DC Entertainment’s newly-appointed chief creative officer – has revealed details of his recent visit to the set of Green Lantern.
Commenting on Twitter, Johns praised Ryan Reynolds and confirmed reports that Mark Strong has indeed been cast as the film’s antagonist Sinestro.
“Back from an amazing trip to Green Lantern town a.k.a. New Orleans,” he wrote. “Ryan IS Hal. And Mark Strong is going to be a brilliant Sinestro.”
Additionally, the ‘Blackest Night’ scribe mentioned that other key characters and locations from the comic books will appear in the movie, including Kilowog, the Guardians and their home planet of Oa.
“Kilowog, the Guardians, Oa… all breathtaking,” he added. “The age of Green Lanternis upon us.”
Green Lantern arrives in theatres on June 17, 2011.
