Craig Brewer to helm new Footloose
Craig Brewer (Hustle & Flow) will helm the remake of Footloose, reports Variety.
Chace Crawford was originally to star in the lead role however due to a scheduling conflict the actor has had to leave the project.
The project had Zac Efron and his High School Musical director Kenny Ortega attached to it in a previous incarnation.
The new Footloose is expected to start shooting this summer.
