Emilia Clarke (‘Terminator: Genesis,’ ‘ Dom Hemingway,’ ‘Game of Thrones’) has scored the lead in ‘Voice From The Stone,’ a 1950s-set psychological thriller that marks the directorial debut of Eric D. Howell.
Based on the award-winning Italian novel ‘La Voce Della Pietra’ by Silvio Raffo, the indie thriller will see Clarke playing a nurse “helping a boy through the trauma of his mother’s sudden death. As she works with the troubled child, she becomes ensnared by a malevolent force inside the family’s castle.
THR hears that principal photography is set to get underway this November in Italy. The screenplay was adapted by Andrew Shaw.
Dean Zanuck and Stefano Gallini-Durante are on board to produce, with Mark Wheaton serving as executive producer.
