Comic adaptation finds director…
British filmmaker Craig Viveiros (‘Silent Witness,’ ‘The Liability’) has closed a deal to take the director’s chair for comic book adaptation ‘Queen & Country.’
Adapted from the Oni Press comic series by Greg Rucka, the spy thriller stars Ellen Page (‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’) as Tara Chace, an Special Ops agent who goes on the run from her own people as she tries to stop an International terrorist plot.
Viveiros will direct the project from a script by John Rogers, with Peter Chernin on board to produce through his Chernin Entertainment banner.
“I’m thrilled to be working with Fox and Ellen in the task of bringing Tara Chace and ‘Queen & Country’ to life on the big screen,” Viveiros said. “The echoes of excitement in creating an exciting, unique bold addition the spy genre are held firm by Greg’s solid, riveting source material.”
