Barrymore’s second directing effort will be a romantic comedy.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that actress/producer/director Drew Barrymore is set to direct the romantice comedy ‘How To Be Single.’
Based on the novel by Liz Tuccillo, the adaptation will be scripted by Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, the duo behind the screen version of Tuccillo’s ‘He’s Just Not That Into You.’
‘How To Be Single’ follows the loves, lives and break-ups of five single New York women over the course of ten years.
The movie will be Barrymore’s sophomore effort, she made her directorial debut with ‘Whip It’ in 2009. Barrymore will produce the movie alongside her Flower Film partner Nancy Juvonen.
