Douglas Booth (‘Romeo & Juliet’) and Logan Lerman (‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’) have been set to play Russell Crowe’s sons in Darren Aronofsky’s biblical epic ‘Noah.’ According to Deadline, Booth will play Noah’s son Shem, while Lerman is to take the older son, Ham.
Crowe’s ‘A Beautiful Mind’ co-star Jennifer Connelly is said to be in the mix to play Noah’s wife. The actress previously worked with Aronofsky on ‘Requiem for a Dream.’
Another role yet to be cast is that of the film’s antagonist; a “villainous figure” that is sceptical of Noah’s plans to build an ark and save the world. Liam Neeson was rumoured to be in line for the part, but things didn’t work out.
Deadline also has word that Emma Watson (‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’,’ ‘Harry Potter’) is talk to play Ila, a young woman who develops a close relationship with Shem.
