Chris Columbus needs HELP

Chris Columbus, Tate Taylor to adapt the best selling novel The Help.

Director Chris Columbus is in talks to adapt the bestselling Kathryn Stockett novel The Help.

 

 

The novel, which has been on The New York Times’ bestsellers list since February, tells the ale of an African-American domestic servants working in Mississippi before the civil rights movement, reports Variety.

 


Actor-turned-helmer Tate Taylor, will helm the project with Columbus serving as producer.

 

 

The Help begins production in spring 2010.
