Actress may join Gillian Flynn adaptation.
‘Prometheus’ star Charlize Theron is reportedly circling the lead in a big screen adaptation of author Gillian Flynn’s 2010 best-selling novel ‘Dark Places,’ a role once linked to Amy Adams.
French writer/director Gilles Paquet-Brenner (‘Sarah’s Key’) is behind the camera for the drama which centres on Libby Day, a woman who, at seven years old, survived the brutal massacre of her family and testified against her brother as the murderer. Twenty-five years later, the Kill Club, a secret society obsessed with solving notorious crimes, draws Libby out for more information on what took place that day.
Stéphane Marsil will produce the adaptation via Paris-based Hugo Productions.
