Trio to lead crime drama.
Award-winning filmmaker Tze Chun (‘Children of Invention’) is attached to direct Bryan Cranston (‘Breaking Bad’), Alice Eve (‘Star Trek Into Darkness’) and Logan Marshall Green (‘Prometheus’) in the indie crime drama ‘Eye of Winter,’ with Leo Fitzpatrick (‘Jack and Diane’) and young actress Ursula Parker (‘We Need to Talk About Kevin’) on board to co-star.
Penned by Chun, Osgood Perkins and Nick Simon, the film revolves around “a struggling motel owner (Eve) who, along with her daughter, is taken hostage by a nearly blind career criminal (Cranston) to be his eyes as he attempts to retrieve his cash package from a crooked cop (Marshall-Green).”
The film is not expected to go into production until after Cranston wraps up on the final season of ‘Breaking Bad.’
‘Eye of Winter’ will be produced by Mynette Louie of Syncopated Films and Trevor Sagan of Sasquatch Films.
