Animated feature locks in voice cast.
Jeff Bridges, James Franco, Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard, Benicio Del Toro and Paul Giamatti are all set to lend their voices to ‘Kung Fu Panda’ director Mark Osborne’s big-screen adaptation of the classic novella ‘The Little Prince.’
Penned by French acclaimed poet and writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry back in 1943, the story centres on a pilot who crash-lands in the Sahara desert and discovers a little boy who claims to be a prince that has fallen to Earth from his home on an asteroid. As the pilot repairs his plane, the young boy entertains him with stories about his home and the foolish inhabitants of nearby asteroids.
Heat Vision reports that Bridges is set to voice the pilot.
Aton Soumache (‘Renaissance’) of Onyx Films and Dimitri Rassam (‘Upside Down’) are producing the animated feature.
