Sarandon and MacDowell Join MOTHER

Actresses will be joined by the daughters for the indie drama.

Deadline reports that Susan Sarandon has landed a role in indie ensemble ‘Mother’s Day’ alongside her daughter Eva Amurri Martino (‘Californication’).

Paul Duddridge, who also wrote the screenplay, will make his directorial debut with the drama that will follow the relationships between 12 sets of mothers and daughters over the course of a single Mother’s Day.

Also added to the cast are the real-life mother/daughter duo Andie MacDowell (‘Daydream Nation’) and Rainey Qualley (‘Mighty Fine’). Sharon Stone (‘Lovelace’) and Christina Ricci (‘Bel Ami’) are set to co-star.
