Ralph Fiennes to Direct THE INVISIBLE WOMAN

Mulligan, Poots, Cornish and Jones in contention for female lead.

Lord Voldemort himself, Ralph Fiennes (‘Harry Potter,’ ‘In Bruges’), is looking to make the Charles Dickens biopic ‘The Invisible Woman’ his directorial next.

Penned by Abi Morgan (The Iron Lady,’ ‘Shame’) and based off Claire Tomalin’s best-seller, the story deals with a secret 13 year love affair between Dickens and actress Ellen “Nelly” Ternan.

The Daily Mail says that Carey Mulligan (‘Drive’), Imogen Poots (‘Fright Night’), Abbie Cornish (‘Sucker Punch’) and Felicity Jones (‘The Tempest’) are all on Fiennes wish-list for the female lead.

Fiennes’ directorial debut, the William Shakespeare adaptation ‘Coriolanus’ starring Gerard Butler, Vanessa Redgrave, Jessica Chastain, Brian Cox, John Kani, Paul Jesson and James Nesbitt, will hit cinemas in January 2012.
