Fantasy adaptation fills out cast.

Young British actress Raffey Cassidy (‘Snow White and the Huntsman,’ ‘Dark Shadows’) and ‘Lord of the Rings’ star Dominic Monaghan are set to star in an adaptation of Georgia Byng’s fantasy novel ‘Molly Moon’s Incredible Book of Hypnotism.’

To be directed by Christopher Rowley (‘Bonneville’), the film follows Molly Moon, an orphan living at Hardwick House Orphanage in Briersville, England, who finds a mysterious old book on the ancient art of hypnotism and discovers she can make people do whatever she wants. But a sinister stranger will do anything to steal her secret.

Monaghan will tale the role of a bank robber who is in search of Molly’s valuable, one-of-a-kind book. Variety adds that Janet McTeer is in negotiations to play the head of the orphanage, with offers out to Joan Collins, Charles Dance and Trudie Styler for supporting roles.

Ben Miller, Celia Imrie, Anne-Marie Duff, Eddie Izzard, Sadie Frost, Lesley Manville, Emily Watson and Joan Collins will have supporting roles.
