Indies LaBeouf for Dark Fields April 14, 2008 A contemporary science fiction thriller about a corporation that has developed a technology that can enter dreams and extract information from the human mind. Shia LaBeouf has signed on to star in the techno thriller ‘Dark Fields’. Neil Burger (The Illusionist) will direct the pic, which centres on a young man who comes into possession of the ultimate smart pill and the events that ensue .Leslie Dixon (Hairspray) adapted the screenplay and will produce the feature. LaBeouf will next be seen in “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” and “Eagle Eye.” Extras: In March 2008 an arrest warrant was issued for LaBeouf after he failed to turn up to a court appearance. The hearing was in relation to a ticket he received for unlawful smoking in Burbank, California in February 2008. The court commissioner in California recalled the warrant on 2008-03-19 after the actor’s attorney arrived a day late to plead not guilty on Shia’s behalf, and a pre-trial hearing was set for April 24th, 2008.
