IFI Family Festival Programme includes a first look at Pixars Cars 2

Fun for all the family at this years Family Festival at the IFI…

Running from July 14th to the 17th, the IFI Family Festival returns with films from all over the world aimed at the little ‘uns, plus, of course, fun workshops.
After an 11am Claytime workshop, the festival will be officially launched on Thursday the 14th at 5.30pm Synth Eastwood Makes Your Day, in which those multi-media scalliwags will be presenting their latest masterwork. Featuring you. At 6.30pm, it’s Light Of The River, the award-winning Japanese animation feature about a family of river rats who have to move from their beloved riverbank due to a new construction project. For the over-6s, there will be English subtitles, read aloud by an experienced reader.

Other films include Pixar’s latest, Cars 2 3D, on Saturday at 11am, and, closing the festival on Sunday at 6pm, the French drama On The Sly, again with English subtitles, again read by an experienced reader.

Please note: for the film only we offer tickets at €5 each or a family (of 4) ticket at €15.00. To see the film AND take part in the The Lonely Beast Hunt, tickets are €7.00 each or €20 for a family (of 4) ticket. Spaces on the hunt are limited and booking is essential.
