Harrison Ford Set For Crowley June 9, 2008 Ford to star in Crowley with Vaughan to direct. Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford has picked his next project. The actor will star in ‘Crowley’ with Tom Vaughan (What Happens in Vegas) currently in negotiations to direct. The Film is based on the true story of John and Aileen Crowley, whose two children had a rare genetic disorder. Rather than give up hope that nothing could help his children, John Crowley found a researcher (Ford) with a potential cure. Ford also will also serve as executive producer on the film. He’ll next stars opposite Sean Penn in the immigration drama ‘Crossing Over.’ EXTRAs: Ford is credited with “creating” what many believe to be the best scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark. He was suffering from a bout of dysentery at the time of filming: during the scene in Cairo with the swordsman in black, the script called for a much longer fight, but because of his condition, he quietly asked director Steven Spielberg if they could shorten the scene. Spielberg’s reply was that the only way it could be done would be if Indy pulled out his gun and “just shot the guy.” The rest of the crew, not aware of the change, laughed at this, and it remained in the final cut.
