Actress naps supporting role in remake of 80s TV show.
‘Bridesmaids’ actress Ellie Kemper has joined the cast of big screen outing of ’21 Jump Street.’ Variety reports that the actress has landed a supporting role in the action comedy.
The movie sees Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as Los Angeles detectives who go undercover in a high school to put an end to youth crime.
Kemper, who plays perky receptionist Erin on the American version of ‘The Office,’ is set to play Ms. Griggs, an annoyingly sincere chemistry teacher who’s attracted to Tatum’s character. The actress previous supporting roles include Sofia Coppola‘s ‘Somewhere,’ ‘Get Him To The Greek’ and ‘Mystery Team.’
’21 Jump Street’ is directed by ‘Cloudy with Chance of Meatballs’ writer-directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller from a script penned by Jonah Hill and Michael Bacall.
Paul Feig’s ‘Bridesmaids’ hits Irish cinemas June 24nd.
