Robert Downey Jr. is rumoured to play international Playboy Hugh Hefner in an upcoming biopic.
The Chicago Sun Times reports that Playboy magazine’s Hefner is very interested in having Robert Downey Jr. play him in an upcoming biopic after watching the actor shine on screen in Iron Man.
According to reports, a rep for Downey Jr. said the actor is interested but still waiting to see a script and hear who’s directing it. The script penned by John Hoffman is still currently being tweaked and finalised.
Hugh Hefner was just 27 years old when he launched the first issue of Playboy, featuring the iconic Marilyn Monroe shot. He grew up in Chicago and debuted the magazine there before moving to California.
