Ben Stiller for King Doug

A group of suburban teenagers share one common bond: they are all being stalked by Freddy Krueger, a horribly disfigured killer who hunts them in their dreams. As long as they stay awake, they can protect one another, but when they sleep, there is no escape.

Ben Stiller is to produce and possibly star in ‘The Return of King Doug, based on the as-yet-unpublished graphic novel of the same name.

The story focuses on the eponymous Doug, a man who has to return to the fantasy world he left behind some 30 years before.

Greg Erb and Jason Oremland wrote the graphic novel and are writing the script.

The only film he was not nominated in for that year was Meet the Fockers.
