Ben Affleck in Talks to Direct & Star in LINE OF SIGHT

Affleck may helm point-of-view thriller.

THR reports that Ben Affleck is in negotiations with Warner Bros. to direct and star in the action thriller ‘Line of Sight.’

Based on an idea conceived by executive producer Alex Heineman, the story centers on an elite commando squad transporting cargo while dealing with a global threat. The screenplay, originally penned by F. Scott Frazier, recently received a polish from ‘Halo: Reach’ story editor Peter O’Brien.

Interestingly, plans are for the tale to be told from a point-of-view akin to a first-person shooter game. James Gray intends to do the same with his adaptation of Mark Greaney’s assassin thriller ‘The Gray Man’ which is set to star Brad Pitt.

Affleck will also serve as producer on ‘Line of Sight,’ working alongside Joel Silver and Andrew Rona. The filmmaker is set direct this third feature, ‘Argo,’ this autumn.
