We bring you trivia about the star of Promised Land
The adorable star of THE OFFICE returns to the big screen this week, starring in Gus Van Sant’s PROMISED LAND. Movies.ie brings you ten things we feel you really ought to know about John Krasinski.
At 6’3”, Krasinski is above average height, but he is the shortest of his siblings, his brothers are 6’6” and 6’10”.
Krasinski is famed for his height, but it seems, like Marshall in HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, he may be taller than average in the world, but smaller than average in his family.
It has just been announced that Krasinski will play Frightening Frank McCay, a scaring superstar in the upcoming MONSTERS UNIVERSITY.
Krasinski has already voiced characters in MONSTERS VS. ALIENS and SHREK THE THIRD, so we can’t wait to see what he does in MONSTERS UNIVERSITY.
Krasinski was considered for the title role in CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER.
We are fans of John, but we think Chris Evans was the right choice for Steve Rogers.
Emily Blunt and John Krasinski have been married since 2010.
And no, they were not introduced by Anne Hathaway…
Fellow star of THE OFFICE, B.J. Novak and Krasinski went to high school together. Krasinski even starred in a play written by Novak while at school.
That’s a rather nice piece of serendipity.
George Clooney, Matt Damon, Jimmy Kimmel, Stanley Tucci, David Schwimmer, and Meryl Streep attended Krasinski and Blunt’s wedding.
What a party this would have been. Wish we were there!
Krasinski co-wrote his latest film, PROMISED LAND, with co-star Matt Damon.
Not only can he act, but he can write too.
In LICENSE TO WED, the characters of Ben’s parents are played by Krasinski’s real life parents.
That’s rather adorable!
In 2000, Krasinski was a script intern on Late Night with Conan O’Brien.
He also filmed parts in JARHEAD, THE HOLIDAY and KINSEY before THE OFFICE took off.
Stanley Tucci married Emily Blunt’s sister Felicity in 2012, which makes Krasinski and Tucci brothers-in-law.
What a fantastic family!
