Pets walk the red carpet at Irish premiere of THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS 2

This weekend saw creatures great and small flock to Dublin’s Odeon Point Square cinema for a very special event. Universal Pictures Ireland and The ISPCA invited pet owners & their pets along to the Irish premiere screening of The Secret Life of Pets 2.

Pets got to strut their fluff down the red carpet, including dogs, a hamster and even two ferrets, were put to the test in the agility trials area, got to kick back and relax and enjoy a doggy massage and received a pampering at the pawdicure station! Humans and pets in attendance were also the first to see The Secret Life of Pets 2 before it hits cinemas across Ireland on May 24th.

Special guests in attendance included Erica Cody and here dog Bowie, Natalie B Coleman and her dog Lucky, Triona McCarthy and family, Laura Woods and her dog Mini, Rosie Connelly, and Michelle McGrath.

Also in attendance was Vanessa Murphy with her dogs Blossom and Florence, Molly Coyle and her hamster Ed, Bee Cleary and her dog Luca, Ariana Persechini and her ferrets Batman and Robin and Michelle Connor with her Bulldog Bear.

Illumination’s tenth animated feature, The Secret Life of Pets 2, is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2016 comedic blockbuster that had the biggest opening weekend ever for an original film, animated or otherwise.

Packed with Illumination’s signature irreverence and subversive humor, this new chapter explores the emotional lives of our pets, the deep bond between them and the families that love them, and answers the question that has long intrigued every pet owner: What are your pets really doing when you’re not at home?
