Michael Fassbender no longer linked to the adaptation….
‘Sons Of Anarchy’ and ‘Pacific Rim’ star Charlie Hunnam and ‘The Wolf Of Wall Street’ actress Margot Robbie are in talks for the lead roles in ‘The Mountain Between Us.’
Based on the Charles Martin book of the same name, the film is a harrowing tale of survival and love, and follows a successful writer named Ashley Knox (Robbie) and Dr. Ben Payne (Hunnam), two strangers who survive a plane crash in the Colorado woods and are forced to rely on one another for survival, eventually falling in love.
Hunnam would be replacing the previously cast Michael Fassbender.
Internationally acclaimed filmmaker Hany Abu-Assad (‘Omar,’ ‘Paradise Now’) is in the director’s chair working from a script by J. Mills Goodloe and Scott Frank. Producers include Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Dylan Clark.
