Guillermo Del Toro greeting footage for Movie Fest

What will Guillermo Del Toro say to the people of Ireland? Find out at Movie Fest.

Guillermo Del Toro has recorded a special greeting that will be played exclusively for the audience at Movie Fest – Ireland’s new cinema event taking place in Cineworld on August 13th & 14th.

His greeting will be shown before exclusive footage from his new movie ‘Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark’. The upcoming horror was written and produced by Del Toro and is directed by comic book artist Troy Nixey.

‘Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark’ is remake of the 1973 ABC made-for-television horror film that tells the story of a young girl, who after moving into a new home is pursued by ruthless creatures who want to claim her as one of their own. The movie stars Katie Holmes, Guy Pearce and Alan Dale.

Other movies from Guillermo Del Toro include Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy and The Orphanage.

KILL LIST
Another new film with footage confirmed for Movie Fest is KILL LIST, a movie that just received a five star review from Total Film magazine. The film follows a British soldier (played by Neil Maskell), who returns home from Kiev and begins work as a contract killer until his disturbed past surfaces during jobs and ominous employers raise the stakes.

KILL LIST will be introduced with an exclusive video greeting to the Movie Fest audience by director Ben Wheatley.
