Mortensen headlining the untitled drama.
Variety reports that Viggo Mortensen (‘A Dangerous Method’) has closed a deal to produce and star in Argentine helmer Lisandro Alonso’s untitled next.
Set in Denmark and Argentina, the drama follows a Danish man and his daughter “who journey to a desert that exists in a realm beyond the confines of civilization.”
Alsono (‘Liverpool,’ ‘La Libertad’) co-wrote the script with poet, author, and journalist Fabián Casas. Mortensen will produce via his Perceval Films banner, with Andy Kleinman’s Massive Inc. also producing. Production is set for early next year.
