Actor joins Brolin and Winslet for drama.
Tom Lipinski (‘Suits,’ ‘Blue Bloods’) is set to play a younger version of Josh Brolin in the upcoming drama ‘Labour Day.’
Set on a late summer Labor Day holiday weekend in the 1980s the story follows Frank Chambers (Brolin), an escaped convict who seeks shelter with a depressed single mother – played by Kate Winslet – and her teen son.
According to Variety, Lipinski will appear in flashbacks as a young Frank, who returns from Vietnam and promptly marries his hometown sweetheart, only to find that she’s no longer the innocent teenage girl he left behind.
Written and directed by Jason Reitman, the film is based on Joyce Maynard’s 2009 novel of the same name. Production is slated to begin in later this year.
