Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby to film in 3D
Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby will reportedly be filmed in 3D.
Due to start fiming in Sydney later this year, the film will star Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan.
First published in 1925, The Great Gatsby is set in Long Island’s North Shore and New York City during the summer of 1922. It is the story of the fabulously wealthy Jay Gatsby and his love for the beautiful Daisy Buchanan, of lavish parties on Long Island at a time when “gin was the national drink and sex the national obsession.
According to sources, an estimated 275 crew will be employed during pre-production, more than 400 cast and crew will be employed during principal photography, and an estimated 150 post production and visual effects crew will also be employed.
