Sam Rockwell signs on to untitled Basketball flick.
Sam Rockwell has revealed that he is to star in a basketball movie.
Rockwell, who is currently filming sci-fi thriller ‘Moon’ with Kevin Spacey (as his robot sidekick), will take the lead role in the as-yet-untitled production.
Speaking to reporters, the actor said: “It’s a dramatic film about an alcoholic basketball coach and this girl’s high school basketball team. It’s like Bad News Bears meets Half Nelson meets Hoosiers. [But at the centre is this] great character.”
Grace Is Gone director (a big hit at last year’s Sundance) James Strouse will helm the movie.
Rockwell will next be seen in the the forthcoming adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk’s novel Choke.
