Film reunites actress with her ‘Election’ helmer…
Reese Witherspoon (‘The Good Lie,’ ‘Devil’s Knot,’ ‘Mud’) will take the female lead opposite Matt Damon in the high concept satirical sci-fi ‘Downsizing,’ according to Deadline.
To be directed by Alexander Payne, from a script he co-wrote with Jim Taylor, the film is a social satire in which a man realizes he would have a better life if he were to shrink himself.
Payne and Witherspoon previously worked together on ‘Election’ back in 1999.
Witherspoon will next be seen starring in the Jean-Marc Vallée-directed ‘Wild’ when it opens in Irish cinemas January 16th, followed by Paul Thomas Anderson’s part surf noir, part psychedelic romp ‘Inherent Vice’ on January 30th.
