Writer-director tackles faith-based family drama.
Randall Wallace (‘Secretariat,’ ‘Braveheart,’ ‘We Were Soldiers’) has signed up to develop an adaptation of Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent’s best-selling book ‘Heaven Is for Real,’ with an eye toward directing.
The book – full title ‘Heaven Is for Real: A Little Boy’s Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back’ – chronicled Burpo’s son’s near-death experience and subsequent claim that he visited heaven. His family and the members of his small town do not believe him until his stories identify people who have passed away.
Screenwriter Christopher Parker (‘Battle of the Year’) is on board to adapt the book.
