Indie comedy fills out cast.
Real life couple Megan Mullally (‘Will & Grace’) and Nick Offerman (‘Parks and Recreation’) have joined teen actors Nick Robinson (‘Melissa and Joey’), Gabriel Basso (‘The Big C’) and Moises Arias (‘Hannah Montana’) on the cast of Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ indie comedy ‘Toy’s House.’
The Black List script by Chris Galleta follows teenager Joe Toy and his friends, Patrick and Blaggio, who, to escape their overbearing parents, flee to the wilderness where they build a makeshift house and live off the land.
Variety says that Offerman will play Joe’s grumpy father, while Mullally will take the role of Patrick’s overly attentive mother. Alison Brie (‘Community’), Mary Lynn Rajskub (‘24’), Erin Moriarty (‘The Watch’) will round out the cast.
Peter Saraf (‘Little Miss Sunshine’) and John Hodges (‘Safety Not Guaranteed’) will produce via Big Beach Films along with Tyler Davidson (‘Take Shelter’) and his banner, Low Spark Films.
