The Brewery Quarter gets planning permission in Cork
An Bord Pleanála today granted Heineken Ireland and Bam Construction permission for a €150 million development of the former Beamish & Crawford brewery in Cork, which will include a cinema, retail units, bars, restaurants and student apartments alongside a 6,000 seat event centre.
As part of the plans for the area named ‘The Brewery Quarter’ a museum containing old brewing equipment will be placed inside the preserved 17th-century Counting House with mock Tudor facade.
Construction on the project is expected to begin this year.
