Duncan Jones do direct sci-fi thriller Mute
Moon director Duncan Jones has signed on to direct the science fiction thriller Mute.
The filmmaker, who recently won the prestigious Michael Powell award at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, said that Mute will be a more ambitious project than his directorial debut.
“It will definitely be bigger than Moon, probably something up to $25 million,” he said. “Moon is about alienation and isolation. The next one will have a different vibe. It’s not about one actor on their own, it’s an ensemble piece.”
Mute centres on a woman whose disappearance causes a mystery for her partner, a mute bartender. When she disappears, he has to go up against the city’s gangsters.”
