Rourke is the latest to be linked to long-gestating project.
Deadline is hearing that Mickey Rourke has entered into talks to star opposite Gerard Butler in the Chad St. John-scripted revenge thriller ‘Motor City,’
To be directed by Albert Hughes, the drama centres on “a man who is double crossed and seeks revenge on the guy who put him behind bars and took his woman.”
‘Motor City’ has had a revolving door of casting that has seen the links of Jake Gyllenhaal, Dominic Cooper, Amber Heard, Clive Owen and Gary Oldman come and go.
Rourke is also reportedly in negotiations to reprise his role as Marv in Robert Rodriguez’s ‘Sin City’ sequel, ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.’
