British actor circles role in horror-thriller.
Max Minghella (‘The Ides of March,’ ‘The Social Network’) has enterted into talks to join fellow Brit Daniel Radcliffe for the supernatural thriller ‘Horns.’
Adapted by screenwriter Keith Bunin (‘In Treatment’) from Joe Hill’s novel, the film sees Radcliffe playing Ignatius Perrish, a 26-year-old who drinks heavily on the first anniversary of his girlfriend’s murder and awakens to find horns sprouting from his head. Ignatius soon realizes their power drives people to confess their sins and give in to their impulses — an effective tool when he sets out to investigate his girlfriend’s unsolved murder.
Variety reports that Minghella would be taking the role of “Lee Tourneau, a public defender with a hidden dark side.”
Production is scheduled to begin in the autumn with Alexandre Aja directing.
