Martin Sheen is in talks for a role in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot.
The actor is reportedly in final negotiations to play the part of Uncle Ben in the Marc Webb-directed picture.
The character of Uncle Ben famously inspires Peter Parker to become the web-slinging superhero following his death at the hands of a criminal.
Sally Field is also in talks to play Aunt May in the film
The film is expected in Irish cinemas on July 3, 2012.
