Four will lend their voices to the LEGO feature.
‘Taken’ star Liam Neeson, Will Ferrell (‘The Campaign’), Alison Brie (‘Community’) and Nick Offerman (’21 Jump Street,’ ‘Parks and Recreations’) have been added to the voice cast of Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow’s Lego feature, ‘Lego: Piece of Resistance.’
Leading the voice cast will be Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett and Morgan Freeman, with a plot that follows Emmett (Pratt), an ordinary, law-abiding, Lego mini-figure who is mistaken for the most extraordinary Master Builder. Emmett is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on a quest to stop an evil tyrant from gluing the universe together.
Deadline is hearing that Ferrell is set to voice Emmet’s primary adversary, President Business, with Neeson as his powerful henchman, Bad Cop. Offerman will be voicing a craggy, swaggering pirate obsessed with revenge on President Business, and Brie is a member of Emmet’s team with a powerful secret.
Written and directed by Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Chris McKay, ‘Lego: Piece of Resistance’ is scheduled for release February 2014.
