Dano out, Eisenberg in.
Variety reports that ‘The Social Network’ star Jesse Eisenberg and Dakota Fanning (‘Now Is Good’) are in talks to board Kelly Reichardt’s indie thriller ‘Night Moves.’ Eisenberg would be replacing Paul Dano (‘Meek’s Cutoff’) who was previously attached to star.
Penned by Reichardt (‘Wendy and Lucy’), the film follows three eco-terrorists who plot to blow up a dam. Eisenberg will take the role of the ringleader, replacing Paul Dano (‘Meek’s Cutoff’) who was previously linked to the role. Fanning will play a wealthy young girl who funds the plan, and the previously reported Peter Sarsgaard is playing the mastermind behind the bomb.
Neil Kopp and Anish Savjani, Reichardt’s longtime collaborators, are producing via the Texas-based production banner Film Science. Todd Haynes (‘I’m Not There’) is executive producer. Production is set for this October in Oregon.
