Survival drama eyes its father figure.
Variety is reporting that Josh Brolin (‘Men in Black III,’ ‘No Country for Old Men’) is in talks to star in the survival drama ‘Crazy for the Storm.’
Set to be directed Sean Penn from a script by Will Fetters (‘The Lucky One’), the film is adapted from American author Norman Ollestad’s memoir and centres “on how the skills Ollestad’s father instilled in him as a boy helped him survive after a plane crash stranded him alone on a mountaintop when he was 11.” Brolin is up for the role of the father.
The plan is for the drama to kick off principal photography in first quarter of 2013 with Bill Gerber, Fonda Snyder and Rob Weisbach attached as producers.
