Scribe hired for Bond 24 and 25 with release set for 2014.
Deadline has received word that Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson have hired ‘Skyfall’ screenwriter John Logan (‘Hugo,’ ‘Aviator,’ ‘Gladiator’) to pen the next two intallments of the franchise.
The Oscar nominated scribe apparently pitched an original two-movie arc to the producers while they were shooting ‘Skyfall,’ and if all goes according to plan, this would be the first Bond film with a storyline to be played out over multiple films.
Logan will pen the scripts on his own following the departure of fracnhise regulars Neal Purvis and Robert Wade who have decided to move on from the series to concentrate on non-Bond projects.
According to The Daily Mail, the producers are looking to get Bond 24 into production this time next year with release planned for autumn 2014.
SKYFALL is in playing cinemas around the country now.
